The Art of Hainanese Cooking by Chef David Yip

Recently, there has been much talk on Facebook about authentic Hainanese chicken rice. What arose was lots of confusion and fuzziness about new and old, Hainanese and Cantonese, and which is the real McCoy. And so, Chef david will be conducting a cooking class on the full preparation of Hainanese chicken rice, from the rice, chicken and soup, to the chili sauce. He will also explain the difference between Hainanese and Cantonese chicken rice.

The class will include other classic Hainanese dishes such as Curry Chicken, Fried Pork Chop and Mutton Soup. And Chef David will also cover a classic Hainanese dish that has been almost forgotten by locals, Jiaji Duck.
