Musicians, in many ways are dancers with instruments. Sounds, heard from different angles and depths create impressions. Scents, when placed expressively evokes emotions and memories. Framed by the breath-taking view of the Marina Bay Sands, MasterWorks: Beethoven At An Exhibition is an experience where movements, sounds and scents meet you in an interactive way.

Performing a 1-hour programme of Beethoven’s Symphony No 5, Mussorgsky/Tushmalov’s Pictures at an Exhibition and the Asian Premiere of Hi-lo: Fide-lio by Dr. Hoh Chung Shih, we bring to you a unique concert experience where you could walk in between the orchestra to explore not only the soundscapes created in this concert but be at arm’s length with our musicians as they move with their instruments to create intimate dance movements as they express themselves through music. Along the journey through the space, you could enjoy an interactive soundscape created by Dr. Hoh in his work and also a “scentscape” curated by scent artists Christopher Yap and Johari Kazura.

So join us this 31 May 2017, Wednesday, 7.30pm at the Esplanade Rehearsal Studio, a picturesque space with Maestro Clarence Tan and our friends as we bring you along a beautiful unique sensory experience.
