About Project Coal
Crystal Lee graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2013 with a diploma in Fine Arts. Following that, she spend 3 months in England exploring natural dyeing in her boyfriend’s garden. Her interest in the craft was further deepend by a workshop in London.
In 2014, she founded Project Coal.
“On natural dyes & objects for you and your home.” Founded by interdisciplinary artist Crystal Lee, Project Coal focuses on the exploration and experimentation with natural dyeing, textiles, art and objects. Offering an array of thoughtfully created and curated products that exist amongst the modern and natural world.
About the workshop
In this workshop, join artist and natural dyer Crystal Lee for an afternoon of natural dyeing and conversations. In this intimate class, you will learn about natural dyeing with flowers and things you can find at home. By being hands on and learning the possibilities of natural dyeing, you will get a deeper appreciation of Mother Nature. You will be taught several dyeing techniques and the knowledge to create such creations at home. Participants will get to take home a scarf and pocket square after the workshop.
