Junior Inventors: Game Experiment
Creative Coding for Juniors
"Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere"
- (Google if you care...)
Creative Coding Lab designed a program specially for The Chosen One.
The Chosen One is aged from 7 to 12 who are completely new to programming.
This program equips The Chosen One with programming skill, through experiential learning. They would pick up logical thinking and problem-solving skills, by building creative projects.
The Chosen One will use Scratch programming language, developed by MIT Media Lab. A block-based language, entry students need not bother about syntax error, and focus instead, on computational thinking. Learn the fundamentals found in core programming languages, be it low or high level first, such as sequence, loop and conditionals. At the end of the course, students would have developed their own creative projects.
The Chosen One works with professionally trained
Dumbledores to design and develop these creative projects. Through theoretical and
practical approach, students would see how vastly different applications such
as games, websites, and other media in our daily lives are based on similar
logical and structural principles.
Learn programming using Scratch and build creative projects. Students will develop games in this workshop.
Who is this for?
Any child from 7-12 years old, with no prior experience in programming.
