Pedagogical Practice Sharing:
Curriculum Integrations Etched from Inspirations of the Baroque East and West
Tan Choong Kheng, School of Art and Design (Fine Art) and Dr Rebecca Kan, School of Music
This sharing explores the collaborative ethos and efforts of Year 1 School of Music students, and Year 2 Art Teaching Students, in the modules of Historical Studies IA and Graphic Studio respectively. The session will cover curriculum integrations that can materialise using materials of the Baroque.
Project outcomes are driven by creative design concepts that leverage on past musical practices. The sharing will showcase student-led perspectives, on divergent approaches taken to re-interpret musical design with graphic elements.
This sharing will be preceded by a concert performance of Baroque keyboard works by Scarlatti on 8 November, Interval@Library, 2pm.
*This session is for NAFA staff only
