Book Launch (出版記念)

「Koya Bound」（「高野山へ」）の写真集の為、来週木曜２７日に銀座のライカギャラリーで出版記念イベントを行います。ぜひ、一緒にお祝いしましょう。

"Koya Bound," Dan Rubin and Craig Mod's new book of photographs on the Kumano Kodo launches at the Leica Salon in Ginza (https://goo.gl/maps/B5RZZ5QesWP2) next Thursday, the 27th, at 19:00. Come join us!

We'll be celebrating long walks and great cameras and well-made books.

The event is free to attend. The drinks will flow generously.

A Walk

In March 2016, Dan and Craig set out on an eight day walk along the Kumano Kodo. They then hid in an old house in Hida Furukawa, Gifu, for a week putting this book together. The goal was to be finish in a week — to make a "fast" book — but the project continued to expand in scope.

In September 2016, Dan and Craig successfully completed raising over $64,000 on Kickstarter for the publication of "Koya Bound." The publication is limited to 970 copies, with 30 special edition red cover copies.

A Talk

Dan and Craig will be giving a talk about both the walk and on the background details of running a successful fundraising campaign and the making of “Koya Bound.”

The talk will take place in the upstairs gallery.

Copies of the limited edition book will be for sale.

Those attending who already purchased the book on Kickstarter will be able to pick up their copies.
