With her second Graphic Novel 'The One Hundred Nights of Hero’ recently released in September 2016, Isabel gives us a glimpse into the making of the book; her inspirations, themes and process. See how she builds her universe and lets it spill through the pages.

Isabel Greenberg Bio

Isabel Greenberg is a London based illustrator and writer. Her first graphic novel 'The Encyclopedia of Early Earth' was published in 2013 and rapidly gained critical acclaim, winning the 'Best Book' category at the British comic awards, two Eisner Award nominations, it was one of NPR's 100 books of the year and listed in the New York Times’ Graphic Books Best Seller list. She has been commissioned to work for clients worldwide including The Guardian, Nobrow Press, The National Trust, Seven Stories Press, Solipsistic Pop, First Second and The New York Times. Her second graphic novel 'The One Hundred Nights of Hero’ is published by Jonathan Cape and is due for publication on September 1st 2016.

About the Festival
Illustration Arts Fest (IAF) is Singapore’s first indie illustration-centric festival! As part of the 10th anniversary of the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC Singapore), the Council is teaming up with Singapore Writers Festival (SWF), LASALLE College of the Arts; and East London Comics Arts Festival (ELCAF) and Nobrow Press to present the inaugural IAF, celebrating illustrators and illustration in Asia.

The IAF is focused on originally created content and narratives by independent illustrators who work in styles and art forms which are not commonly seen in Asia. This is distinguished from the more prevalent trend of superheroes, manga and anime themes. The event is supported by players from the Singapore creative community such as Kinetic, Supermama, H55, Underscore, Design Film Festival and Goodstuph.
