About the Speaker

Gillian Tee is a native Singaporean and the co-founder of Rocketrip, a Y-Combinator, Crunchfund and Bessemer Ventures-backed startup that's raised more than USD 17M.

She's also the founder of online code school CodeUpStart with a community of more than 10,000 developers. Most recently she's in the process of launching a second company backed by 500 Startups.

An avid coder (read, geek), designer and whiskey lover, Gillian studied Computer Science in university and got an MBA from Columbia Business School. Being able to empower others in their tech and entrepreneurial paths gets her up every morning and keeps her going through all the ups and downs in the tech world!
