Batik Trail with Lee Chor Lin

About Lee Chor Lin
Lee Chor Lin is the Chief Executive Officer of Arts House Limited, an independent, not-for-profit company that runs The Arts House, presents the Singapore International Festival of Arts and manages Goodman Arts Centre and Aliwal Arts Centre.
Before this new appointment, which began only 1 July 2013, Chor Lin has been an active player in museum development in Singapore for the past 28 years. She started her career as a curator of Southeast Asian art of the National Museum, and then senior curator of the Asian Civilisations Museum between 1993 and 2002. In 2002, Chor Lin was entrusted with the task of redeveloping the National Museum of Singapore, overseeing the construction of the museum’s extension, regenerating the museum’s team, direction and audiences.
For her work in the arts and museum, Chor Lin was conferred Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in 2009 and Cavaliere, Ordine della Stella d’Italia by the Italian government in 2012.
