Join Damsels in Design for its most popular event! We’ve been on a short hiatus, but are back in the ring with three amazing designers! On July 19th we will host designers and designophiles so they can share their creative process and their career success with you! The night begins with short presentations followed by a Q&A and concludes with a bit of connecting one-on-one.


Attendees will walk away with:


• New perspectives of design and the creative process
• Insights on different career paths in various design fields
• Connections with women in design making really cool things
• Inspiration for your next design project or research

KATE UNVER, Founder of dailymini


Kate Ünver is a social media, communications, and editorial professional based in Philadelphia who currently supports the Experience Design teams at Comcast as a Senior Copywriter. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Kate grew up in northern New Jersey before relocating to New York City. She studied Art History and the Classics at Earlham College in Indiana, where she was an award-winning DIII tennis player. In 2012, Kate launched dailymini®, a digitally curated space that promotes miniatures and small scale news through interviews and studio visits with internationally renowned artists and designers. Before joining the Comcast team in 2013, Kate spent five years heading up the social media program at Pratt Institute, a prestigious college of art and design with campuses in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She currently serves as a Trustee on the Board of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans where she supports this non-profit’s editorial, social media, and marketing efforts. An avid tennis player, Kate also enjoys riding motorcycles and recently took a 2,200 mile solo trip through the American Southwest.

ADRIANA MARIE, Founder of AMCONYC


Adriana Marie, a trailblazing entrepreneur, founded AMCONYC in early 2014 creating a platform that caters to emerging and independent designers to provide not only professional and educational support but a bigger voice within a competitive industry. With a background as a former designer herself for over several years, Adriana knows and understands the industry from all sides of the coin and uses her background and diverse business acumen to introduce new opportunities to growing brands such as AMCONYC Fashion Week. Through Adriana’s diligent work efforts she has collaborated with some of the largest organizations including Dunkin’ Donuts, Aveda, Beyonce’s W TRMLN WTR, a nd many others. She has expanded AMCONYC to offer public relations, marketing, sales, and educational courses for designers and lifestyle brands. Now, A MCONYC is stronger than ever and continues to grow and expand season after season.

TIFFANY JYANG, Product Developer at Uncommon Goods


Tiffany is a product developer in the world of e-commerce retail. After working in the advertising, publishing, and consumer products industries, she joined the in-house product development team at UncommonGoods, where she dreams up product ideas and works with her team to bring them to life. She also drives product strategy and develops partnerships with businesses like Mental Floss, Chronicle, and Crane & Co. Tiffany earned her Bachelor of Science in communication, information science, and marketing from Cornell University.
