WHAT IS “Gintsugi”?

Its more than a repair, mending but an aesthetics.

When broken pottery pieces remind of its lost entity and memory, calling for their missing parts, a certain special way is required to celebrate such a moment.

Just as well as human relationships, the will of recovery and the process and result of reconciliations can be admirable.

Then in the method of Kintsugi and Gintsugi, a gap or crack between parts or a defect is beautifully converted into the picture of golden branch or stream of silver river, where the deference among them or absence of something makes it more beautiful.

A praise of incomplete beauty as is known as Wabi-Sabi you may remind of, here, too.

*General definition:

Wikipedia “KIntsugi”

It mixes the golden powder with lacquer and more popular than Gintsugi
