Chernobyl Today - A Photography Exhibition by Christophe Malcot (Artist Talk)

The Private Museum is proud to present Chernobyl Today: Artist Talk.

[About the Artist Talk]
Christophe Malcot will discuss his experiences as he entered the Exclusion Zone in which he will revisit the catastrophe from the sequence of events to its aftermath—reflecting upon the important lessons from this historical tragedy. This will be followed by an extended Q&A session in order to engage the audience on this theme.

[About the Artist]
Malcot is a self-taught photographer who specialises in little-visited places and has developed a keen interest in industrial relics and brutalist architecture. Shooting in black and white, he pays particular attention to the shades of grey in each picture as he tries to bring out emotions rather than raw effect. In this series, he experiments with the unusual 100x40cm panoramic format, applying it to various subjects ranging from the landscape to the intimate.

The Artist Talk is held at Artspace222 on 26 May 2016, 6:30PM.
