英国で親しまれている食べ物の一つがチーズ。シンプルなチーズサンドウィッチから豪華な食事の後に楽しむチーズセレクションまで、チーズは英国の人々にとってかかせないものとなっています。ただ残念なことに、英国のチーズの印象は “チーズといえばフランス”というほどには、まだ定着していないようです。そこで、このたびブリティッシュ・カウンシル英会話スクールでは、英国のチーズをテーマにしたパーティーを行います。

パーティー前半では、英国チーズのエキスパートから、英国各地の美味しいチーズそれぞれの特徴や産地をご紹介していただくコーナーを設けています。その後のチーズのテイスティング‘・セッションでは、英国各地から選りすぐりのチーズを実際に試食していただき、それぞれのチーズの香りや味わいをお楽しみいただけます。当日は、飲み物とスナックと、ちょっとしたアクティビティーもご用意しております。

One of the most loved foods in Britain is cheese. From the humble cheese sandwich right through to the cheese selection at the end of an expensive meal, cheese is ubiquitous to life in Britain. Sadly, Britain’s cheese and cheese makers do not get the same recognition as their counterparts in France. Because of this we want to introduce and celebrate the finest cheeses from around the UK to students and friends of the British Council. With help from ilovecheese.jp we will hold a Cheese Party on 18th June at our Iidabashi Teaching Centre.

At this party we will have an expert presentation on the best types of cheese from around the UK, explaining where the cheese are from and what is unique about them. There will also be a HUGE stock of different types of cheese for you to try. And because we want to make this an excellent celebration, we are also going to throw in a few drinks and snacks, as well as offering some other activities for you to try.

Ticket information

We are afraid we cannot give any refunds after the purchase of tickets.

Current British Council students can get a discount of 1000 yen off the regular ticket price (2500yen instead of 3500 yen). To get the discount, you must use the “discount code” at time of purchase. This code is available at the front desk at the Iidabashi and Ikebukuro Teaching Centres.

We regret that we cannot offer a refund if you buy a full price ticket but are eligible for a discount.

For non-students (including family or friends of current students), please purchase the standard 3500JPY ticket. After purchase, names will be checked against our current student database. If a discounted tickets has been purchased by a non-student, the ticket will be cancelled and money returned excluding the commission fee.
