Learn to create handmade washable fabric using the soft-carve block printing technique. Perfect for beginners, this workshop is filled with practical and easy ways to print at home. Choose from a select range of patterns or bring along your own design to carve into soft linoleum. Print using colourfast inks in a variety of colours to produce a customised piece of fabric.
Learn to create handmade washable fabric using the soft-carve block printing technique. Perfect for beginners, this workshop is filled with practical and easy ways to print at home. Choose from a select range of patterns or bring along your own design to carve into soft linoleum. Print using colourfast inks in a variety of colours to produce a customised piece of fabric.
At the end of the workshop, you will leave with a beautiful fabric length or a hand-printed scarf. You'll also take home your hand-carved block for future projects - cards, gift wrap or even wallpaper!

No prior experience is necessary and older children are welcome to join. Class sizes are kept small for effective learning.

Workshop Content:
- Creation of your own motifs or choose from a selected range
- Hands-on instruction covering the entire printing process
- A fine cotton scarf 40cm by 150cm or a 1m length of cotton material
- Take-home Student Pack with instructions, designs to take home and supplier information
Skills: Motif Creation, Image Transfer, Basic Linocutting & Waterbased Fabric Block Printing
Fee: $120/person | 10am - 1pm. Includes the use of all tools and materials. Refreshments provided.
