The second instalment of Urban Ventures will transform Keong Saik Road into an arts carnival with interactive installations, art performances and creative workshops. In the evening, join the street party with music, drinks and dancing!

Enjoy a fun, late Saturday afternoon sweat and stretch session among art, cocktails and colourful shophouses on Keong Saik Road led by Glam.yoga.fitness. BYOM (Bring your own mats!)

— Marking Spaces: Keong Saik Road by Megan Miao and Aqilah Hassan
Have you ever wondered what lies behind the facades of the shophouses and bars of Keong Saik Road? Marking Spaces is a public drawing project that will allow you to explore what goes on behind those concrete walls and tinted windows.


5.00pm to 8.00pm
— Colours in Motion
A hands-on approach to learning and expressing through two mediums—dancing and painting. Join the interactive workshop at 6.30pm and have fun openly expressing yourself. You don't need to know how to paint or dance to have a great time!


6.00pm, 7.00pm, 8.00pm
— The Silence Experiments by Xi Jie
A one-audience encounter where intuition and intimacy meet under a sheet. People are invited to sit quietly, one-on-one with the Clown under a big sheet, an exploration into communication where silence, intuition and intimacy meet in an unspoken cosmos.


7.30pm to 8.30pm
— Public Dance Lesson (Kizomba)
Discover the joy of movement at this enjoyable and exciting dance class! Bring a friend or make new friends while learning some Kizomba dance steps.


8.30pm to 10.30pm
— Street Dj Set Party
As the day turns into night, so will the music. Stay tuned for the DJ line-up!


10.30pm onwards
— From Public Space to Private Space
The party doesn’t stop. At 10.30pm, join us as we dance the night away on Jiak Chuan Road—until the lights come on!


All Day
— Look out for other cool installations and activities. Make new friends over a game of foosball (provided by The Foosball Company) or ping-pong (provided by Innoverde). Snap a snazzy photo at the photo booth (partnering Lomography Embassy Singapore). Hang out in a hammock (provided by Airmocks) and watch the festivities unfold.

— Digital Exhibition by Urban Sketchers Singapore

In partnership with Singapore HeritageFest 2016, sketches of Keong Saik, Bukit Pasoh, Craig Road, Smith and Telok Ayer Street
will be projected on the road. Done by Urban Sketchers, the works will present a vibrant and whimsical take of the Bukit Pasoh Conservation Area.



4.30pm to 6.30pm, 7.00pm to 9.00pm
