Leaving with a Peace of Mind - An Introduction to Wills and Trusts
We often hear “wealth never
survives three generations.” But it could get worse…with the loss of wealth
comes a loss of family harmony.
Singaporeans are rather wealthy
and we are one of the fastest ageing populations. This means our children and
family could inherit hundreds of thousands, even millions, when we pass away.
What sort of plan do you have to ensure they receive this wealth in an orderly
way and with the values you cherish?
You can do something today and
it’s neither expensive nor complicated.
With a Will (and perhaps a
Trust), you can avoid big problems for your family who might fight over your
money. Or your children could lose their desire to do well in life because of
your easy money.
In this 60-minute talk, learn how
you can leave behind a meaningful legacy for your family with instruments such
as a Will, Trust and Lasting Power of Attorney. Keon will share lessons learned
from real-life stories of families and you will have a chance to ask questions.
· Issues we face in life
· Write a Will for basic wealth planning
· Set up a Trust to manage wealth over time
· A Will and a Trust: A family-friendly solution
