Changes made to event description

When was the last time you turn off the volume knob on life to listen to its eloquence in hush? What have you missed in that rush?

The ‘habit’ of rush is very much ingrained in us. ‘Busy’ is now a socially acceptable response to ‘How are you?’ and synonymous with a sense of worthiness in our society because the antonym seems to be misplaced somewhere in ‘lazy’. But we can be engaged with life in a deeply intentional way without being mindlessly busy – through moments of silence.

That is why Hush, the world's first silent tea bar, was born. Hush was founded with the deep desire to bring overworked, overstressed executives from ‘rush’ to ‘hush’ through a cup of tea appreciated mindfully and in complete silence, whilst creating dignified and inclusive employment opportunities for the deaf. We wanted to brew a silence revolution for good.

Rush to Hush is a bimonthly series of open sessions on the last Thursday of February, April, June, August, October and December for busy executives and the general public to experience Hush. These installments also serve as an experiential evaluation for HR and CSR heads who wish to bring Hush into their workplaces.

Each Rush to Hush is different. A special theme each time. Come learn and experience a new TeaRitual with each theme. In April, our theme is Hush. Gives Laughs. Allow our deaf TeaRistas to take you on a unique journey of reflection and relaxation. A quiet moment with yourself, amidst the daily rush. Listen, ignite your senses. Awareness in Hush.

"Silence speaks when words can't, so does laughter."

If life's a stage, how are you acting out your script? Interact with our TeaRistas as they bring you into their world of silence through a skit of mime, with laughs and smiles.

How does your heart feel and look like when it is laughing? When was the last time you laughed heartily?

Come experience the Hush All Smiles TeaRitual. Happiness in a Cup.

We will be holding the session at Pollen, Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay. Immerse yourself in the picturesque greenery and rejuvenating forestscape. Indulge yourself in nature and let the Earth tickle your senses while you savour your delectable TeaMood. Surrender yourself completely to the beauty of the moment, the enchantment of your surroundings, and the bursting joy inside you.

If you like us, bring silence and mindfulness to your work.

Hush@Workplace is a new responsibility model where companies can transform responsibility into opportunity by integrating the need for innovative employee wellness initiatives with a community-empowerment effort.

We can conduct scheduled popup Hush sessions for your employees, customers and community. A permanent space could also be carved out in your common area(s) as a 'Hushlet' to inspire and motivate employees to practise mindfulness regularly so as to more effectively manage stress and consistently deliver better results. The more Hush@Workplace sessions we run, the more employment opportunities we provide for our deaf TeaRistas.
