The Many Faces of Improv
Instructor: Arnaud Pierre
5 May – 23 June 2016
“You can’t make a mistake when you improvise.” – Patti Smith
Indeed, improvisation is freeing. However, it takes practice to let go of your inhibitions and self-consciousness when performing. To improvise well, you need to trust your partners, accept the unforeseen and follow your instincts.
With this workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of improvisation theatre, using techniques from Spolin, Del Close, Johnstone and more. You will experiement with the range of different improvisation structures, work with different people from all walks of life, and learn to construct a narrative while performing – all in a safe and collaborative space. The workshop hones your ability to seize the stage and tell stories, fearlessly, in front of an audience.
Payment plans are available. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Registration closes 26th April 2016.
