About Ground-Up Initiative (GUI)
Ground-Up Initiative (GUI) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2008 to bridge the disconnect that modern society creates between people, their communities and the environment. It believes that investing in the culture of people is key to shaping the future of the ever-changing, demanding, and fast-paced urban setting. Through experiencing groundedness, hard work and connection in a common space, GUI is determined to nurture a sense of rootedness and resilience in Singapore society.

GUI has since embarked on a mission to build a community campus in Yishun known as the Kampung Kampus to pioneer a new way of learning and living for a sustainable future. We have a 5G vision for Singapore to move beyond the 5Cs — for a more Gracious, Green, Giving, Grounded and Grateful nation.
