Natsumi Suzuki

アメリカで活動する日本人プロダンサー。

米国にて数々のフェスティバルや舞台公演に出演。

その実績が認められ、レイチェル・ブライス、ジル・パーカー、カミ・リドル、元ベリーダンス・スーパースターズのソニア、元スヘイラ・サリンポーダンスカンパニーアシスタントディレクターのアンドレア・センデック、南カリフォルニアベリーダンス界の大御所ナナ・カンデリア推薦のもと、米国アーティストビザ（特殊技能、卓越能力ビザ）を取得。

現在トライバル・フュージョン・ベリーダンスを、本場サンフランシスコで本格的に修行した初の日本人として国内外で注目を集めている。

2013年より日本のBellydance Japan誌にて1年間エッセイ連載。2014年には1年をかけてグローバル・バルカン系のバンドと共にメキシコツアーと日本ツアーを行う。

幼少期にクラシックバレエを学び、１６才からヒップホップダンスを始める。

その他にもPopping, Animation style, Club Jazzや

ダンスの専門学校にて運動生理学を学ぶ。

ベリーダンスをタカダアキコに師事。

2007年より米国サンフランシスコにて、トライバルフュージョンベリーダンスのパイオニアJill Parker、そしてこのスタイルの第一線で活躍するRachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Mira Betz, Ariellah Aflalo, Zoe Jakesに師事。

トライバルスタイルだけでなくベリーダンスを基礎から学ぶため、

世界的ベリーダンサーSuhaila Salimpourに師事。

他にAndrea Sendek, Nanna Candelariaに師事。

2009年、Suhaila certification（認可証） Level1を取得。

同年、Tribal Fest 9にソロ出場。

2011年には、毎年ラスベガスで行われるトライバルフュージョンのステージショー、Tribal massive spectacular にミラ・ベッツと共に出場。

2011年4月、Rachel Briceによる初の8 Elements™ Intensive1のCertificationを取得。

ポートランドで行われたレイチェル・ブライス出演イベント、Salon L’Orient Starring Rachel Brice にゲストダンサーとして出演。

2013年、サンフランシスコのショーにてDj Shotnez aka Ori Kaplan（バルカン・ビート・ボックス）とコラボレートを果たす。同年末から2014年末にかけて、メキシコツアーと日本ツアーを行う。

2015年7月と８月にバレエ・ジャズフュージョンベリーダンスとヒップホップフュージョンベリーダンスのWSをFatChance Bellydance studioにて開催。

9月からはLos Angeles Bellydance Academyにて定期的にクラスやWSを開催。

2015年、アメリカのバンドVeil of Mayaのミュージックビデオ “Mikasa” に出演。

トライバルフュージョンベリーダンス界だけにとどまらず、SymbiosisやArt Outsideなどの音楽フェスティバルでのパフォーマンスに参加。

In this workshop, you will learn the newest choreography (same with WS【B】) and be able to perform with Natsumi in Anjir vol.12 Show on 2nd April 2016 at Romarakuda!
For 13th and 19th you will learn with other participants WS【B】.
On 27th, only WS【C】 participants (6 people) will learn the formation and detailed directions for stage.

[IMPORTANT]
*WS 【C】 Participants have to perform in the show on 2nd April.
*WS 【C】 Participants have to attend all three days.
If you have long belly dance experience and you can memorize the choreo in one workshop,
you can ask. But all participants have to attend 27th.
*WS 【C】Participants may have to prepare the costumes for the show.

Natsumi Suzuki is a dancer from Tokyo, Japan, inhabiting San Francisco since 2007. She acquired an O-1 visa (ability artist visa) by dance in the U.S. Her focus is on combining the elements of Traditional Japanese Culture with Hip Hop and Tribal Fusion Belly Dance.

Classically trained in ballet as a child and expanding into hip hop dance in her teens, she also studied Club Jazz and Pop Lockin’ i.e.- Moon Walking, Robotic movements, and street dancing. In Japan, she learned many styles of dance and body physiology before graduating at her dance college.

While Natsumi has been in San Francisco, her passion for knowledge and improving her skills has led her to study belly dance and tribal fusion vigorously for the past 8 years with Jill Parker, Rachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Mira Betz, Suhaila Salimpour, Andrea Sendek, Ariellah and Zoe Jakes. She has received Certification Level 1 from Suhaila Salimpour and also certification from Rachel Brice’s 8 Elements™ Intensive1 Exams.

Some highlighted performances by Natsumi Suzuki include: Tribal Massive Spectacular with Mira Betz, Salon L’Orient starring Rachel Brice and the San Francisco Asian Art Museum VIP reception.

She collaborated with Dj Shotnez aka Ori Kaplan(Balkan Beat Box) in 2013.

She taught Ballet and Jazz Fusion bellydance Workshop, Hip hop Fusion Bellydance Workshop at FatChance Bellydance studio on June and August, 2015.

Also teaching class and WS at Los Angeles Bellydance Academy.

She is in Veil of Maya “Mikasa” music video.
