The Reelak Team is psyched to introduce Reelak Sessions: smaller, cosier gatherings for you, our loyal followers!

The 1st Reelak Session will be held on Sunday, 22 November at FRESH Singapore, a rooftop bar on the 2nd floor of The Sultan boutique hotel around Kampong Glam area. So, instead of doing your usual Sunday TV ritual in sweatpants on your couch, why not spice things up by taking it outside?

We are partnering with Urban Yogis, who will start off our Sunday afternoon with a rejuvenating yoga session. If yoga isn't your thing, there'll also be a typesetting workshop with TypesettingSG. Benjamin Browns will also be selling their famous Over-The-Top milkshakes! After that, we will screen Populaire (2012), a lighthearted French romantic comedy about a girl, a boy, and a typewriter.

About the Film

A lighthearted French romantic comedy, Populaire tells the story of Rose, a secretary, who is trained by her boss Louis to become the fastest typist in the world, by winning the 1959 international speed typing contest in New York. Released to critical acclaim, Populaire was nominated for five César Awards, the French equivalent of the Oscars, including for Best First Feature Film.

Starring Déborah François as Rose, Romain Duris as Louis, and Bérénice Bejo (of The Artist) as Marie.
