WA-izm's Hands-on "DASHI" Making Workshop
Well, we’d like to invite you to participate in the WA-izm’s cultural workshops!
-Can cook the "Dashi" well and can cook formal Japanese food at home!
-Be popular amoung your friends with your new knowledge and skill of "Dashi" making
-Can serve "Dashi" to your friends.
-Can cook nimono, nikujaga, miso soup, curry & rice, oden and other Japanese dishes using "Dashi" much better.
-Can talk about the Japanese food.
・History of “Dashi”, Ingredients
・How to extract kelp soup and tasting;
・How to extract bonito soup and tasting;
・Why mixing kelp soup and bonito soup? How does this affect the "umami"?
・Savoring the "soup" (along with seasonal a la carte dishes)
*All instruction will be in Japanese with an English interpreter working alongside.
Yoshikazu Saito (Cocking School & Consulting, “CHEF YOSHI”)
After studying at the United States,Yoshi formerly entered the world of cooking in Hawaii. He helped parties and wedding party at Japan Embassy in Hawaii along with working at an American-Japanese restaurant. He was scouted while working at the Japanese-American restaurant, and end-up returning to Japan. After gaining experience working at the Italian restaurant, IL MULINO, which is located in Roppongi Hills and is constantly at the No.1 spot on the New York Zagat survey, he helped establish the "Queen of Breakfast," Sarabeth, in Japan. He traveled to New York to learn from SaraBeth herself, and has been successfully serving as the Head Chef, and infiltrated the American breakfast culture in Japan .
Eggs Benedict , French toast , and pancake receives the attention though magazine and also through TV appearances . We become Independent in 2015 and active in linen (to Increase the smile through the cuisine)
