Dr Staerk, who is heading the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar, will be talking about the business opportunities in this new region of growth. With Germany as the most important supplying country to Myanmar from the European Union, there is much potential for bilateral business relations between Germany and Myanmar, with German companies seeing the value of Myanmar's geostrategic position and wealth in natural resources.
About the Speaker:
Dr Monika Staerk is currently the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar, and has been an Executive Member of the Board of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association since 2003. For three years from 2010 to 2013, she was also the Executive Assistant of the Chairman of the Advisory Board of TUEV Rheinland.
About the Speaker:
Dr Monika Staerk is currently the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar, and has been an Executive Member of the Board of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV) from 2003 to 2010. She gathered extensive knowledge of Myanmar even before it began to open up. Between 2010 and 2013, she was the Executive Assistant of the Chairman of the Advisory Board of TUEV Rheinland.
